  1. Add option for employee/ admin to select whether a job is commercial or residential when clocking in

    This allows admin to decipher what is Commercial and Residential when running monthly reports for Workers Comp purposes. QuickBooks online gives us this option, but when exporting from ClockShark, we have to manually insert/add to timesheet description for each employee and job whether a job is commercial or residential.

    We’d like to hear more on this one and if anyone else is having similar issues please let us know. We’ll need to hear more feedback to understand what everyone’s needs may be here.

  2. New circles to be set for individuals for auto setting break or clock-out

    I would also suggest that we have the per individual employee admin capability to automatically clock a person out like when they turn off their GPS, except triggered by going to certain "dead spots" which is like when they go home during the day one or several times and forget to clock out. This would cleanly define times when they're not working (which in our case is dependent on being on-site) and give us a handle on many hours of misreported time.

  3. Trending Job Hours for Job Costing

    Trending Report based on hours worked per job to help predict amount of time needed for future jobs (clients).

  5. Include an option for online booking

    Include a link or widget to allow customers to book jobs online. I run a cleaning business and allowing customers to book for themselves would save me work.

    Invoicing and billing customers (and as you suggested, booking customers) would be awesome features to add, Kathleen. Thanks for the powerful vision of how you see ClockShark working. We’ll keep you updated as we add new features to the product.

    It would be a nice to be able to change your map preferences in your administration settings to the map system you actually prefer.

  7. Notification for changes made at a later date

    Example if someone entered 4 hours on Oct 21, but then later realized that it's not correct and went back and changed their hours, as an admin I wont have any idea. This creates an issue as I would record hours on Oct 22 which is the very next day and bill it to the specified job. It takes lot of time on our end to keep going back to days to make sure no one has made any changes. A notification to the admin for changes made on a later date would be very useful.

  9. Print/look at de-activateed jobs

    The ability to still print a report on a job even though it has been de-activated. Alot of times we close/de-activate a job because we are physically done with the job but then need to go back and look at hours on the job.

    Thanks for the idea, Mary. Did you know that the deactivated jobs will remain on your Admin > Jobs screen, and you can click to view/edit them even in they’re inactive?

    Another great benefit is that, even though the job is inactive, you can still manifest the time for the job when running reports, either by running a report for “all jobs”, or by activating the job first and then choosing its name as a tag.

    The hours for a job will always be available in ClockShark. We’ll keep your suggestion in mind for a future update. The idea of having an “Active v. Inactive” jobs report really is a great one.

  11. Please add the ability to view a larger than a thumbnail photo on the "Who's working now" page.

    We keep the "Who's working now" page open all day and we love how real time notifications. The one thing that is lacking right now is the ability to view (more than a thumbnail size) photos on this page. We know that we can view the photos on the time sheets. But the time sheets don't give us the instant notifications that is available on the "Who's working now" page.

  12. Enter a time shee with an end time of 'Currently working'

    Would love to be able to enter a timesheet from a specific time to 'currently working' instead of a specific end time.

  13. Allow 'project' isolation as quickbooks

    For example: We have many clients that have several projects going on at the same time. Currently you can only isolate a ClockShark report by timeframe not by project. Quickbooks online has "projects" for each customer so we can have several isolated for the same customer ongoing.

    Jordan, thanks so much for your suggestion. If you could share some more details about what you are asking for, I’d be very happy to pass this along to our development team. For example, do you use QuickBooks Online or Desktop? What exactly do you mean by timeframe and projects?

  14. Allow minimum hours for showing up and clocking in on site.

    Allow the app to automatically apply a minimum number of hours when clocking in. In many states, if not nationally, we already have to pay a minimum number of hours just for showing up. Being an inspection firm we charge a 4-hour minimum and this is passed to the employee in their pay. If clockshark could automatically apply this rule (with a minimum amount option) it would significantly decrease the time spent on payroll for us.

    This is a great suggestion, Brian. I remember being paid for a minimum of 2 hours in certain states, so your suggestion make perfect, logical sense. Let’s let other folks vote on it so we can understand if this is a widespread need and something we need to build for you.

    Hi Angela, I just wanted to share that we are considering a formal “yesterday” button for a future update. For the present, did you know that you can use the custom calendar to pick single days at a time? Just click the day twice. :)

    Hopefully that helps. We’ll keep this idea monitored and watch the support that mounts for it.

    This is a great suggestion, but it may be something already doable with ClockShark. For example, Administrators can clock into any job/task, and then navigate their day.

    Having a job that is generic, such as “Office”, may be what the user can clock into before visiting the job sites. Feel free to share if you think this will work. I just wanted to clarify the feature being requested here.

  17. A Set Start Time

    We have a start time of 7am. I problem we have is our employees come in 10 to 15 min early for work. They clock in as they are walking in . They do not start work until 7 but there phone is in there locker at start time. So when they clock in we are always paying them from the time they clock in instead of just from the start time. Is there a easy way to do this without having to go in and change every employees start time everyday? jmawhorr@lloydrebar.com

    It sounds like your employees could benefit from having a time-rounding setting set up in the account, say, Nearest 15 minutes. You can also set up notifications to trigger if an employee clocks in more than 15 minutes before they are scheduled too.

  18. Allow user to email a report from within the portal(or app)

    Current process requires that you download the file, then open your email and attach the file. This would make our bi-weekly timesheet reporting a little faster.

  19. More 'Add Time' buttons

    Put an ADD TIME button next to each date in the employees weekly time view...so we don't have to scroll all the way back up to the top of the page to add time to a day.
