  1. Enter a time shee with an end time of 'Currently working'

    Would love to be able to enter a timesheet from a specific time to 'currently working' instead of a specific end time.

    • Allow 'project' isolation as quickbooks

      For example: We have many clients that have several projects going on at the same time. Currently you can only isolate a ClockShark report by timeframe not by project. Quickbooks online has "projects" for each customer so we can have several isolated for the same customer ongoing.

        Jordan, thanks so much for your suggestion. If you could share some more details about what you are asking for, I’d be very happy to pass this along to our development team. For example, do you use QuickBooks Online or Desktop? What exactly do you mean by timeframe and projects?

      • Allow minimum hours for showing up and clocking in on site.

        Allow the app to automatically apply a minimum number of hours when clocking in. In many states, if not nationally, we already have to pay a minimum number of hours just for showing up. Being an inspection firm we charge a 4-hour minimum and this is passed to the employee in their pay. If clockshark could automatically apply this rule (with a minimum amount option) it would significantly decrease the time spent on payroll for us.

          This is a great suggestion, Brian. I remember being paid for a minimum of 2 hours in certain states, so your suggestion make perfect, logical sense. Let’s let other folks vote on it so we can understand if this is a widespread need and something we need to build for you.

            Hi Angela, I just wanted to share that we are considering a formal “yesterday” button for a future update. For the present, did you know that you can use the custom calendar to pick single days at a time? Just click the day twice. :)

            Hopefully that helps. We’ll keep this idea monitored and watch the support that mounts for it.

          • Allow admins to select workers shift pictures/files to be added to job files with one click

            Say a worker is on site and gets a real time plan or sketch change, they add that to their shift notes for admins and management to review. It'd be nice to just click 1 button to send it to the general job files so everyone sees it. Bonus points if I can do it on mobile.

              Hey Nate, love this idea! Creating an easy way to append the files that come in from the field employees to the job itself would be very helpful.

              Allow task (i.e. To Do list ) to be shared with employees and supervisors.
              A check off list per say.
              Example...
              Install sinks (check)
              lay carpet
              clean up area
              turn over to owner...
              etc.
              We are using Evernote between us... would be nice to get all this in one app

                  This is a great suggestion, but it may be something already doable with ClockShark. For example, Administrators can clock into any job/task, and then navigate their day.

                  Having a job that is generic, such as “Office”, may be what the user can clock into before visiting the job sites. Feel free to share if you think this will work. I just wanted to clarify the feature being requested here.

                    • Update the Windows 10 Mobile app

                      I selected ClockShark specifically because of the availability on Windows, iOS, and Android. It would be great if you would stop adding features on iOS and Android for a couple days and focus on Windows for a change. Some things that are NOT available on Windows:

                      Edit time

                      All jobs & tasks are visible in WP app; restricting the options for an employee or a job does not good, they are all available anyway

                      Add pictures, etc... none of this is available in WP.

                        Hi Jeremy! To use ClockShark on a Windows device, one will want to log into clockshark.com. For the time being, we have discontinued updating the Windows App; however, we are always updating and improving our Android and iOS apps. If you are running the Windows app, you may notice that some features you enjoy (file attachments, job restrictions, etc.) aren’t available. That is normal, since that app is now outmoded.

                        Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about how ClockShark is performing across all of your devices. I’m always happy to hear your suggestions and ideas.

                          • Create Public View of Scheduler

                            It would be nice to be able to post a public schedule to a website for viewing. There is a tool out there called SmartSheet which allows you to create schedules then post a read-only view of this schedule to web pages or send individuals with the link a read-only copy. This feature allows you to share on your business kiosks. This also allows management to view schedules without logging into ClockShark or using the mobile app.

                              Hey, Cory, thanks for sharing this great idea. A large, readable view of the company calendar available at a URL address would be a big help.

                              You’re right: currently the best way to view the schedule is by logging into the website or app, but we’ll keep monitoring your idea here so that when it garners tons of support, we’ll know to add that for you. :) Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions or ideas.

                                Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll consider adding this. One thing to try is creating a bookmark for the Who’s Working Now screen: then, any time you click it (even after logging in), it will redirect you there.

                              • Bi-Weekly Overtime

                                Our employee overtime can be calculated over a 2 week period, i.e. and time over 88 hours in a two week pay period is considered overtime.

                                  A more robust OT feature would be convenient to have, especially if your company follows a different overtime policy than 40 hours a week. We’ll keep monitoring this for votes, so please share your thoughts below, everyone.

                                  • A Set Start Time

                                    We have a start time of 7am. I problem we have is our employees come in 10 to 15 min early for work. They clock in as they are walking in . They do not start work until 7 but there phone is in there locker at start time. So when they clock in we are always paying them from the time they clock in instead of just from the start time. Is there a easy way to do this without having to go in and change every employees start time everyday? jmawhorr@lloydrebar.com

                                      It sounds like your employees could benefit from having a time-rounding setting set up in the account, say, Nearest 15 minutes. You can also set up notifications to trigger if an employee clocks in more than 15 minutes before they are scheduled too.

                                    • Allow user to email a report from within the portal(or app)

                                      Current process requires that you download the file, then open your email and attach the file. This would make our bi-weekly timesheet reporting a little faster.

                                            Thanks for the suggestion! Out of curiosity, how long do you typically knit the timecard report for?

                                            Any range over a week will print on more than one page, but we’re considering a single-page, bi-weekly report for a future update, so please stay tuned.
