  1. Ability to edit an approved PTO without declining and starting over

    I am looking for the ability to edit PTO that is already approved. Right now I have to decline the PTO and then redo it to fix it if an employee changes the time they took off. I would prefer this ability in the timesheet. I now have to go find the exact request.

    I think this idea could be valuable for lots of companies. Not only being able to edit time off from the timesheets, but also adding it and possibly deleting it.

    With as many ideas as we receive, and limited work time, let’s see if this idea will pick up some traction and support. If this becomes a popular request, we will build it!

  2. Only select from budgeted codes when scheduling

    I'd like it so that when scheduling out the week, our superintendent can assign employees to jobs, and then only those jobs' budgeted cost codes pop up to choose from. Currently when scheduling, ALL cost codes from are available to select for each job and our superintendent has to sift through and figure out which ones were budgeted for each job.

  3. Days off calendar

    We have many employees and when we approve time off we need to manually add the time off to a excel vacation calendar we have created so that our manager knows how many people have time off in a day.
    It would be wonderful if we could pull a report that would have a calendar view of who has time off upcoming. Maybe a monthly view that we can look at when approving more time off and scheduling employees to work.

  4. Ability to assign holidays to a PTO policy so that users receive them automatically

    How do we enter holidays? Is it possible to set them up and then everyone automatically gets them or the admin can tell who gets paid for them?

    Hey Betsy, at the moment you have a couple different options for entering in holidays:

    1. You can add time off manually by going to Time > Time Off > Requests > +Add Time Off. You can create a policy called “Holiday” or whatever policy you want to use.
    2. You can also add a policy for each holiday to keep track of them that way.
    3. Or you can have the employees request the holiday off and approve them.

    These are all less than ideal, but the good news is we are actually working on this feature! So soon we will do exactly what you suggested. You’ll be able to set them up in a policy and the users will just have them automatically filled.

  5. Automatic PTO Accrual Increase after Tenure

    I have 3 separate PTO accrual policies and they are all based on tenure at the company. Currently, I have to track when each employee started and manually change their PTO accrual policy when they reach a certain Tenure period. It would be great if I could put in a date and it would automatically change their PTO accrual rate when they reach that date. I have already had employees get mad at me for not changing their PTO accrual rate after 1 year. Then I have to go back and calculate how much they should have. Small feature but…

  6. Easy way to find our running total of PTO

    I'm not finding a way to see what my PTO total is? If there is one can you point me in the right direction to find it? If not can you please add one so we know what our totals are

  7. Premium Pay to appear automatically if employee fails to take meal break within 5hrs from the start of the work

    "Penalty" hour pay (at standard employee rate) needs to be paid to employee who fails to take his/her lunch break within 5hrs from the start of work (if works more than 6hrs). This is the newest law in California (passed on May 23, 2022). Currently we have to do it manually and its is becoming a nightmare to track every single day, every single employee and there will be stiff penalties to employers for unreported unpaid "Premium" pays.

  8. alerts specific to jobs also

    Once a crew is scheduled, it would be great to have alerts specific to the crew/labourers allocated and for not all to get the alerts.

  9. Alerts to have more specific options

    For example supervisors, office workers, directors, labourers. Especially as we have workers off and on night shifts, so getting alerts when not specific to your role or not working would be very annoying.

  10. Allow employees to just clock "in" and "out" without selecting task and job.

    In our company, clocking in and out could be more efficient if we weren't forced to make employees select job-general and task-general. We just want them to clock in or out, period.

  11. On the timesheet view, see a square and a start time for people who have clocked in.

    On the timesheet view, see a square and a start time for people who have clocked in. If someone clocks in at 8 AM and I look at 8:15 AM, it is blank. I'd like it to show a square and a clock in (and then it can just be pending for the clock out time and the total hours worked). It's not ideal that the people who are clocked in and working appear the same as the people who didn't show up on that view. I don't want to have to go through the "who's working" page and try…

  12. Add a Check Box for Per Diem when staying overnight

    When staying out of town for a project, our company pays a set Per Diem rate per night. It would be nice for there to be a checkbox for that employee to say they need Per Diem. This way we don't have to rely on Comments/Notes to make sure Per Diem gets paid.

  13. Always separate date and time in CSV exports and make recognizable by Excel

    Maybe I'm missing something in the settings but date formats exported into CSV don't read as dates in Excel, and the bulk CSV export format combines date and time into one entry. There's also apparently multiple date formats in the bulk export so I can't even write an Excel formula to convert text to time. Other report formats that do export dates separate from time still export dates as text and don't use a one-line record structure.

    This all makes exported data unsortable without a lot of formatting work and thus pretty much useless for my purposes.

  14. Create Task Groupings by Department or by Job Type

    When selecting tasks for a Job, it would be insanely beneficial to be able to have set groupings of tasks to grab instead of one by one. One here or there gets missed occasionally and get the field staff frustrated that their appropriate codes aren't included. Having a set grouping for 'Roofing Project' or 'Waterproofing Project' or even a General Tasks group (be able to select multiple groupings if required too!) would be a massive benefit for us all.

  15. See Task Codes in Task Restrictions

    When restricting tasks in a job in the additional settings, it's only possible to see the name of the task, you cannot see the task code. Our tasks are grouped by code, not necessarily by name and some tasks have similar names, so it's a bit frustrating when trying to select all the right ones.

  16. The ability to filter and put checkmarks next to employees you want to view timesheets for.

    Under timesheets it would be nice to filter and check the names of more than one employee you wish to view. This option is available under "who's currently working" and would be nice to be able to do it in timesheets as well.

    The name on the Jobs page gets squeezed to a small box and text wrapping is bro

  18. Ability to have Employee request Bonuses

    I manage 3 emergency service companies, and my employees are on an on-call rotation. When the employees that are on-call have to respond to something after hours they are awarded a $100 bonus. If there was a feature that would allow them to request the bonus that would be great. I understand that this isn't technically time tracking so it might not be something specifically at the top of your list of things to integrate.

  19. Ability to Toggle between Multiple companies I use ClockShark for.

    I have 3 companies I use ClockShark for and it sucks having 3 separate passwords and usernames for them. I am about to have 2 new companies that will need payroll tracking, making it 5 that I will be using clockshark for but I hate that I have to sign out and log back in for each one. I have to have a spreadsheet to keep track of all the passwords. I use QBO and ADP and I am able to have one account and toggle between all my companies. This feature would make life easier.

  20. Master Schedule Tab

    Develop a master schedule tab/menu that allows the scheduler/timekeeper to build a more permanent baseline that is then transferred to the working schedule automatically showing open shifts that need to be filled for the work week without rebuilding the entire weekly or monthly schedule all over each time.
    The master schedule can be updated as employees are added or terminated.
