  1. Scheduling set default time and count number of employees scheduled for a job

As I do scheduling it does not highlight the name of the employee once assigned a job or give me a count of how many bodies I have done so far. This would be a visual aid.

Let me set up my own default time (7:00 to 3:30)

  2. Calendar Search Feature

When in the calendar, there needs to be a Search field, so we can see if a particular job or appointment has already been put on the calendar, and when it is scheduled.

  3. Add an alarm when double scheduling an employee!

We typically schedule a group of employees at once and on occasion, we double book or schedule a shift to an employee who has a vacation request scheduled shark. Even though Shark doesn't have a HR feature, it's easier to have all shift requests such as requests to leave early for an appt or taking a personal day all in one calendar. Right now, you can schedule an employee for multiple shifts in the same day without any alarms or alerts. Without having to scroll through all the employees, there isn't another way to see if anyone is scheduled for…

Thanks for the great suggestion! Let’s let folks vote with you on this idea, and our development team can look to add it to ClockShark in a future update if it gathers great support. Of course, if you have any other suggestions or ideas, please just let me know @ morgan@clockshark.com. :)

  4. Make the schedule private until you are ready to publish it for your employees to see it.

Make it wear if your working on a schedule your employees can not see it until your ready for them to. In some businesses we work on schedules a couple of weeks out but may need to change them. Your software allows everyone to see it and that's a problem!

Hey Rebecka, thanks for the suggestion. Having a “staging” schedule is a great idea, so thanks for posting it here for others to vote on.

As support rolls in, we’ll keep you updated on any development plans.

  5. The ability to change colour of individual days within a job

If I had the ability to change the colour individual days within a job I could colour coordinate on scheduling.
using red for unconfirmed, yellow tentative, green confirmed, etc
Also could be valuable as a tool to create a priority system.
Some project are multiple days long and spread out over several weeks, so this would give me the ability to quickly see which days are locked down and what can be changed.
as of now if I change the colour of a job every scheduled day also changes.

  6. Specific Schedule Change Notifications to Employees / Ability to notify only 1 employee

Employee Schedule Notifications by individual employee that tells the employee what was updated so they know what specifically the change is and not just that there is a change.

  7. Holding Deck area in the scheduling area

This suggestion is for the scheduling area. In the construction business scheduled jobs can often get preempted by things such as: weather conditions when the sun rises, lack of availability on materials 1 hour before the job, equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, employees not showing up for work. All of these and probably many more could cause a quick and immediate “changing of horses in md-stream” to another job that is approved but perhaps not specifically on the schedule. I would like to see a “Holding DECK” where approved jobs can be sitting, waiting for scheduling, that could be viewed by…

  8. Add a hover feature on the schdule page so that when you hover over a job that is scheduled you can see the notes and details.

  9. Attachments in the Schedule Feature

Allow the attaching of documents to a scheduled job so that the crew members working can access this information. This would be like work orders, detials and instructions for the worker in the field.

This is a great idea, and really pushes at an automated, intuitive scheduling tool that can make suggestions based on employee locations.

We’re excited to see how other customers respond to this idea, so please vote, folks. We will want to consider this for a future update.

  12. Reschedule all workers on a job when job is rescheduled

Allow rescheduling of entire crew when job is moved. It is very time consuming to reschedule jobs having to move each worker individually.

I have stopped using scheduler to schedule in advance due to the laborious task of moving them when they change (which is often). As such, my workers are not able to see what is tentatively coming up- a feature I was very excited about.

Definitely a good idea Tom. We want to do alot of things with the scheduler. This should be one of them. Another thing we’d like to do soon is being able to add scheduled time off/unavailability to the schedule as well as mark a day as sick, etc.

  18. Allow me to set my work day, say from 7 am to 9 pm and then when clicking on the time

Allow me to set my work day,
say from 7 am to 9 pm and then when clicking on the time, I dont have to scroll from, 12 am to 7am
Make it a user defined default but if I want I can start the clock at 5 am on the odd time that may happen.

Using presets to speed up the time entry on schedules and when adding time to a time sheet is an idea we are considering. If you need this feature, please viote with your support. We’d love to build all of these features now but are limited to doing the ones with the most votes first since each feature takes a good amount of time and resources to build.

  19. request that start & end times are viewable without clicking on the details.

Would like the start & end times to be viewable on the schedule without clicking on the details. Currently only the start time is viewable. Being able to see both would be very helpful.
