    I’m not sure I’m fully understanding this idea, I would love to get some more information. Are you wanting to kind of group the schedules by where they are taking place?

  2. Choose more than 1 job for Travel/Estimating

    The initial and last long distance travel hours would have more than 1 job assigned. Say our estimator travels 4-5 hours - at arrival he will then be going to 5 job locations all within 1/2hr of each other. Instead of having to break out the initial and end travel into the 5 jobs, just be able to add the jobs to those times in one group.

    Hey again Lynn! This is an interesting dilemma that you are trying to solve. At the moment, the best solution is either to have him physically clock in and out to each job (or maybe each location could be a task under a job) or to simply manually add them after the fact. This is the only way to get the job to have time associated with it.

    But as far as future options, what are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to have each job have specific hours associated to it? Or do you just want to say that in these 30 minutes he did these 5 things. But no time associated to them? Almost like a checklist of what he accomplished. Once again I would love your feedback, thanks for everything!

  5. Job description and attachments online for non Admin employees.

    Need ability for non Admin employees to see job description and attachments while working with web version. So far only admin can see as well as add and modify all job notes. Will be great to have employees able to open Job attachments on PC so they have full view of large documents.

    Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that this is something currently in the works.

    Soon employees will be able to get a view only version of the jobs they have access to so they can see the attachments, description, address, etc.

    We also just released the “edit jobs” manager permission recently which allows anyone with that permission to edit jobs they have access to as well as create new ones.

  7. Add a 'detailed description' to individual task.

    It would be nice for a field employee to see a task in a specific job, such as "House - Flashing", then be able to view a detailed description of that task that further explains what is involved. E.g., "Labour for both bending/prepping flashing & installing it onto the Main House."

  8. Set Overtime Rules Per Job

    We have different rules for overtime for different jobs. So the ability to set the overtime for different jobs would be very useful.

  9. add the ability to put in coordinates instead of address

    we do oil field service work and use coordinates for well locations. The GEO Fence would be a great tool for us, but doesnt seem to work without and address, of which we do not have.

  10. Premium Time option

    We pay our technicians 2.00 more per our for 2nd & 3rd shift schedules. Would like option to select premium time on shifts worked and have it calcutated at weeks end like straight time, overtime & double time is.

    The best way to go about this would be to create a task called “Premium Time.” If the whole shift is premium then you can just schedule the employee this task, and they can clock in like that.

    Otherwise you can manually the edit the shift if you need to, or you could have the employee switch to the new task if they need to. If you have QuickBooks Desktop integration, we can set it up so that they automatically get paid the higher amount with this information also!

  11. Build a Project

    Have the Ability to Create a project where you can

    1) Link the project to QuickBooks Projects
    2) Assign an Employee as a Project Manager
    3) Be able to Pull Purchase Orders that are linked to the Quickbooks Project
    4) Create time lines
    5) Build specific tasks within the project
    6) The assigned Project manager and Administrator can see the Expences and Hours billed to the project in real time.

    Hey Jordan, thank you for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it.

    You can currently connect ClockShark jobs with a project in QuickBooks Online, but the rest of the functionality you are wanting takes place in QBO currently. However, you could limit which employees are able to view that job in ClockShark. We are looking for more enhancements we can add to jobs such as statuses, and more planning like this!

    Budgeting across employees and tasks is an idea that we are beginning to hear from our customers, so thank you for placing it here on our voting page so every one can chime in.

  13. Add a predictive address field

    When adding the address for jobs and geofencing, the address field should be a predictive type field pulled straight from google maps.

    once hourly budget depletes for a client (job) can add new or additional budget in for job without having to create a new job

Great observation about the hours budget: if you ever need that reset for an individual job, our engineering team would be happy to do that for you, but having the ability to do that from the website directly would be helpful too.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Miranda. Out of curiosity, are requesting that ClockShark’s jobs be mappable to QuickBooks classes? We do have that option, but I just want clarify, in case there is a different feature you have in mind.

    Feel free to let me know your thoughts on this.

  16. Allow Expenses to be Added to Jobs

    For example, if I need to purchase materials for a job site, then I'd love to be able to add that to the Job reports. Perhaps add an "Add Receipt" feature that allows you to upload a photo of the receipt and input the dollar amount so it can be added to the job report.

  17. Visual of completed jobs

    Would be nice to see when the jobs are completed. Nice if the plumbers could check out of each job so we can see what has been done and what still needs to be done that day. We can see when they are on the job by going into another screen. Nice if on main calendar screen can show a green dot for on the job and red dot for done with that job...

    We do have the ability to set a job to a certain color. I know some companies use this to color code their jobs as new, working, completed, billed, paid, etc.

    Is that what you are wanting more so, job statuses?

  18. Create Tick Box for Change Orders

    We would use Tasks extensively and if we have to create a Task called "Change Order" it would prevent us from determining the actual task performed as a change order.

    Having a tick box along with a field to enter a change order number or description of work performed under a change order would be very helpful. Generating reports, isolating change orders by job would be a must in this scenario.

    With our current functionality adding an separate job would probably be the best workflow. You could have something like Job 1, and then Job 1.1 – Change Order that way you can keep track of all the tasks still being performed.

    You could then run reports for both jobs and add them up which is a little bit more manual. As we continue to grow this would be a useful feature for Sage clients!

  20. Allow for Mileage to be added to a specific job.

    We allow our employees to use their own vehicles and reimburse them for that mileage. I wish there was a way we could track that on this app.
