Prompt Clocked in users every two hours to verify that they are still performing the same task that they were currently working on.

Automatic Lunch for Select Employees Only
The ability to turn off the automatic lunch for only select people. Or, make it so it automatically adds the time when they clock out. Right now it looks like it happens at mid night? This has caused us a lot of problems.

Pop Up Window when employees clock in
A window that appears first before the employee clocks in that we might be able to post an important message, or motivational shout out, photos, etc.

Display number of working employees
On the "Who's working now" header, add the total number of working employees in parenthesis i.e. Who's working now (54)

Hey Juan, that’s a really great suggestion! Seeing your total employees at a glance on the Who’s Working Now screen would be a big help. Let’s let folks vote with you on this idea, and we’ll look to add it to ClockShark if it collects support!

Overtime Alert
There should be a notification that alerts admins a certain amount of hours BEFORE someone goes into overtime. That way, they can wrap up their jobs before they need to leave for the week.

Hey There, Brooke! Thanks for the suggestion about triggering an OT alert before an employee starts earning OT. That would certainly help admins/employees avoid OT by giving them an idea of how much time remains to work on a job.
We’ll have folks vote with you on this idea, and as it gathers support, we’ll add it to our development road map! If you have any other suggestions or feedback, please feel free to let me know @ morgan@clockshark.com, or 1.800.828.0689. Always happy to get your feedback!

Better and faster missing punch-in alerts
Allow custom time frame t notify employer if employee fails to clock in at a certain time (it is preset to 4 hours and cannot be changed). Employers need to know quicker than 4 hours so they can follow up and find suitable replacements.

"Why'd You Miss A Day" Reminder
If an employee misses a day, it'd be nice if the next time they go to open the app (the next day) it prompts them to select a reason why they missed the day prior, and affords them the option to manually add their time.
14 votesThanks for your suggestions! We are receiving this request more frequently, so we’ll consider adding it on a future update.

Employee Resource Center
I would like a place in Clockshark where we could upload employee documents, so that all of our employees could access them on demand. I'm thinking of documents like an employee handbook, company policies/expectations, etc...

That being said, if you needed something functional in the meantime I would recommend maybe a shared folder on a program such as Google Drive. With this, you can share these documents with just a simple link.

Be able to see photos uploaded by every user in a separate picture folder
What if there was a sort of a photo bank per user where we could see all photos attached by that user. Or even if there was a folder for all the photos attached, so we could scroll through those. Make an option to search by a date would make thing even easier.

Hide administrator passwords from other administrators.
I was shocked to learn that when I assigned a second administrator to our company account, I was able to login with that new administrator account and reveal my password. Revealing other administrator passwords shouldn’t be an option or should be an option that can be opted out of.

Individual profiles to track employment history for each employ. Track amount of hours, good behavior, amount of edits admins have to make..
Amount of jobs they go over budget on, track bad behavior things (marks on their quality) complaints, personal notes to help evaluate performance or raise potential. Also store legal documents, like scanning their W-9 forms or business agreement forms.
Allow Admins to place an alert on discrepancies that requires them to fix it before clocking in next. (signing off on time sheets at end of week with app reminder would be cool too!)9 votesAdding more details to an employee’s profile to track their employment history, hiring documents, performance notes, etc. is a very inspired idea. Thanks so much for sharing that. We will keep this idea monitored as people begin to vote for it.

Allow employees to be sorted manually, not just alphabetically
Give the Administrator the ability to be able to sort employees manually, or put them into groups - so that they will appear on the screen in the order that we want to see them. You could have a Supervisor and then everyone on their crew instead of just an alphabetical listing

Autogenerate employee passwords
it would be easier if you could automatically have a password generated when you add a new employee. Then they would get an email with the password and would be allowed to change it on their first login to something they can easily remember.
17 votesWhen importing employees from QuickBooks Desktop, a password will be auto-generated for employees, and emailed to the employee.
Employees who are added manually to ClockShark will need to have a password manually created, but they too will receive an email with their login information. If they log into ClockShark from a desktop, they can customize their password to be something easier to remember. :)

option to make photos madatory
option to make photos mandatory when clocking off from a job

Hey Paul, thanks for sharing your idea and feedback with us!
We did just recently add Clock Out Questions as a feature which is similar. With this feature, you can require employees to answer a set of questions. This can be assigned to everyone, a specific department/location, or job. You can also be notified if a response is deemed as “unexpected.” This is great for verifying work safety, ensuring breaks are taken, retrieving the status of the job and more!
So while this wouldn’t require pictures to be attached, you could ask them “Did you attach pictures?”, or even have them describe the job.

Auto assign different colors to jobs and employees
Rather then pick colors(need to check which are used) to new jobs and employees have an option to auto assign next color so it goes thru all colors and back to oldest used
9 votesThanks for sharing your idea, Pawel. This would certainly help ensure that colors don’t get duplicated, but I do anticipate it requiring more colors to be added to ClockShark. It’s a great idea, and I look forward to hearing how other users respond to it. Go ahead and vote, folks; and we’ll consider adding this in a future update.
