  1. Temperature Tracking with Clock In Questions

    Please create something so we can track temps of our technicians. With COVID19 continuing to impact businesses and certain cities requiring businesses to track all temperatures of those coming on site. This would be a huge help to all of us I think. It could be as elaborate as tying the temp to each job so we can run a report on the job details that would show a column for temp that the technician put in. Or as simple as a clock in question (much like the clock out questions) and have it ask or let us create our…

    Hey Molly thanks for providing your feedback with this idea! This is something that has been brought up and we are looking into ways we can adapt our Clock Out Questions to be used in this situation.

  2. PTO - able to enter in hours and minutes

    We run a 7.6-hour day and no rounding of hours, but I can only allocate annual leave, sick leave and unpaid leave in increments of 30 mins, so I cannot enter this time off correctly. If an employee becomes sick part way through the day, I will have to add some minutes to there day to be able to enter sick leave and have the hours equal 7.6 – tedious work.

    I would like to have time off to allocate hours and minutes.

    We are going to be rolling out 15 minute increments for the PTO selection soon to better work with rounded time which I know won’t solve your issue.

  3. Allow the job budget to be comprised of sub-budgets or task budgets

    That way you could have a project or job with a budget of 500 hours, but 100 of that is budgeted to planning, while another 100 is budgeting for electrical work, etc.

    As the work gets done you can see the progress of all the items getting done as well as the total progress. Notifications would be great as well!

  4. Pay Rate Report. I would be nice to be able to see a summary of the pay rate by week group by job.

    I would like to be able to modify more the pay rate report. I would like to see the total expenses on all jobs in a week in one report. Currently i have to print out a few pages to see it.

  5. Notification that all exported time records have been sent to Sage

    It would be helpful if Clock Shark would issue an e-mail notification to the employee who did the timecard Export to Sage when all the records have successfully been transferred to Sage Daily Payroll. As it currently is, you have to give the process time and then keep checking in Sage to see if it seems like everything is now there.

    That definitely sounds useful. Since we partner with a company called Ryvit to help with this integration, there are some extra steps that may be required for something like this to happen. But I think worth exploring.

  6. Change the Break Button so one can choose between Paid Meal Break (Duration: 30 min) & Paid Rest Break (Duration: 15 min)

    Would like to schedule breaks when scheduling each shift. Should have drop down boxes to allow flexibility in nominating Meal Break and Rest Break (no need to have Lunch Break as only applies during the day). As different companies / countries / states have different laws drop down boxes to select the length of the breaks would be better. Auto breaks don't work for us as each employee needs to be able to start and finish their breaks as their work allows. As we need to be available during breaks, if called away can resume break when free to do…

  7. Allow check boxes next to each employee to be able to approve multiple employees time at once

    Add check box next to each employee for approving time. So we can select multiple employees' times at the same time for approval

    Hey Christopher! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We do actually have the approvals page when you can approve up to 50 employees at once and for up to a month at a time. Just head to Timesheets > Approve Timesheets to get there. Were you wanting this functionality anywhere else?

  8. Create a job wage for Prevailing Wage jobs or multiple rates for each employee to accommodate for Prevailing Wages

    We do several Prevailing wage jobs each week and I have no way of changing the payroll reports to the correct wage automatically in your program. It would be nice to be able to either have a "Job Wage" because all my guys make the same wage for certain Prevailing Wage jobs. I know I'm not the only one who has to deal with Prevailing Wage so I'm sure it would help a lot of payroll people.

    Hey Robyn, thank you for providing us with your feedback.

    You are correct in saying that the job list to select from that appears for reports only includes the active jobs. But if you run any report with “all jobs” or “all employees”, etc., then that will run the report for all inactive, deleted, and active jobs in that date range.

    But I agree, it would be a lot nicer if you could just select the one job you needed. With limited work time and lots of ideas, we prioritize all suggestions with the most traction and support. Let keep the votes coming and we will add this!

  10. Task Hours in Real Time

    1) Enter Job hours for a Project in Quickbooks
    2) Integrate those budgeted hours with TASKS in Clockshark
    3) Enable Manager and Foreman to see remaining hours available per task.

    This would be a great feature to offer a little more functionality with project management. We did just recently update our QBO integration to support overtime, vacation and sick time, and custom pay rates. But I can definitely see something like this in the future.

  11. I would like to only have certain Team Members on the schedule.

    Not all of our employees are scheduled for jobs. Some of them are in the office and some are activated just to see other's schedules and make edits. I would like to hide certain employees from the schedule so the schedule looks cleaner.

  12. Weekly Timesheets with Detail

    I would like a report with more than a Summary Page. I have requests for more details, Time IN, Lunch OUT and BACK times, Appointments - Time OUT and Time IN, and end of day Time Out, plus the notes field with Appointment detail, or including PTO if that is available. Notes could be on a separate page with date and employee name or in a log type format. Not on the same Detail page. Places like Work Release like to see that detail.

Adding the break in/out times to that report and then also a second page of time stamped notes for each employee might be the way to go. Do you think that would solve your request or is there anything else that would be missing?

    Right now the timesheets and schedules are both alphabetical by employee last name but there is a better way to quickly find someone. If you click CTRL + F on your computer that will pop a find search bar where you can type in an employee and quickly find them on that page. Should be the best option besides us building our own search bar. Hopefully that helps!

    We don’t have a CSV option for the schedules yet, but on the schedules page, right next to the week view drop down, there is a print button. You can use this button to obviously print but also you can use it to save the schedule as a PDF file to your computer.

    The CSV would definitely be a little bit easier to customize exactly how you want it, but the PDF is better than a screenshot a lot of times.

  15. Report of unapproved time

    It would be very helpful to be able to run a report of unapproved time. If an employee enters time after time has been approved, the admin may not be aware of that employee's time. Running a report of unapproved time would hopefully catch any time that has not been approved for a specific time period.

    Just wanted to see if you were aware of our “Unapproved Time” notification we have? This can actually email you and create an error on the timesheets whenever time is synced over to a period that has already been approved.

    We make these times zero by default so the weekly/daily total is not messed up by this new unapproved time. So any report on this time would just be zero. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions or requests for this!

  16. Field Input for Scheduling for Administrators and Employees

    Put a field in the scheduling that would let administrators put in notes, pics and files that could be seen by the employee and field for the employee to put notes and pics.

    Just wanted to grab some more details here. The schedules do currently have an area for the admin to provide notes for the employee. And the employee can edit those notes if they have the correct permission, or they can just leave a note on their timesheets.

    The only thing that we don’t have currently is the ability to add files/attachments to the schedule notes. So that would definitely be an improvement!

    Is there anything else I am not understanding though?

    Where you go to edit employee time sheet, I'd like to see the day of the week next to the date. It's for a specific situation but I think it would be nice to have in general.

    We do get lots and lots of ideas so we tend to implement the ones with lots of votes, so as this gains more votes we can get it added.

  19. Job Labor Budget - Individual(Selected) employee emailed, % Budget notifications

    Two separate ideas under the Jobs Labor Budget
    -At our company, we, the administrators of Clockshark are office staff, are not the people who need to know when a job's budget hours progress to a certain point. Specific employees, project/operations managers, need to know how a job is progressing.


    1. If you could insert or select specific employee(s) to be emailed instead of the administrators when the budget hours remaining are hit, under the Labor Budget option.


    2. If instead of being notified when a job only has a certain number of hours remaining, could there also be check boxes in Labor…
