There should be a way for an Admin to directly message the phone of all (or certain) employees through ClockShark.294 votes
Depending on what information needs to be communicated to employees (schedule changes, upcoming job start time), there may already be a notification available in ClockShark. Feel free to check out http://help.clockshark.com/knowledgebase/articles/1133746-using-notifications to see how those notifications suit your needs. :)
Regarding the ability to craft particular messages and send them directly through the app, this is a request that we are hearing more-and-more. I’m sharing this with our development team, and we’ll continue to monitor the votes here for this idea, so we can know when we should add that for you.
If you have any other ideas or suggestions, you can let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org. I love to hear how we can improve ClockShark for you.
Happy to announce the work on this project is underway. Soon each admin and employee with certain manager permissions will be able to set their own notification terms.
The ability to turn off the automatic lunch for only select people. Or, make it so it automatically adds the time when they clock out. Right now it looks like it happens at mid night? This has caused us a lot of problems.41 votesMorgan Cassady responded
Thanks for this suggestion! Let’s let folks vote on this, and we’ll consider adjusting that feature in a future update! :)
I was shocked to learn that when I assigned a second administrator to our company account, I was able to login with that new administrator account and reveal my password. Revealing other administrator passwords shouldn’t be an option or should be an option that can be opted out of.39 votes
On the Employee List, please include the Employee Phone Number, Employee ID number, and other fields
On the Employee List, please include the Employee Phone Number36 votes
Thanks everyone for your input. We’ll consider adding this in a future app update.
It would be nice to have a photo icon of employees in the system since sometimes it is hard to remember everyone's name.25 votes

Set schedule availability for each employee so they aren't able to be scheduled on unavailable days/times20 votes

when employees are notified about schedule changes, actually let them know what changed. Not just a blank statement of change.
When we click the tab to notify employees of schedule changes, it would be nice if the notice would include what date(s) actually changed on their schedule. Presently, they get a generic notice that just says there was a change.18 votes

Give the Administrator the ability to be able to sort employees manually, or put them into groups - so that they will appear on the screen in the order that we want to see them. You could have a Supervisor and then everyone on their crew instead of just an alphabetical listing18 votes

it would be easier if you could automatically have a password generated when you add a new employee. Then they would get an email with the password and would be allowed to change it on their first login to something they can easily remember.17 votes
When importing employees from QuickBooks Desktop, a password will be auto-generated for employees, and emailed to the employee.
Employees who are added manually to ClockShark will need to have a password manually created, but they too will receive an email with their login information. If they log into ClockShark from a desktop, they can customize their password to be something easier to remember. :)
If an employee misses a day, it'd be nice if the next time they go to open the app (the next day) it prompts them to select a reason why they missed the day prior, and affords them the option to manually add their time.13 votes
Thanks for your suggestions! We are receiving this request more frequently, so we’ll consider adding it on a future update.
Anyone interested in this feature, please vote and share your thoughts so we have a great idea of who would like to see this feature.
Add a user who can manage and view (bookkeeper or other) but who doesnt use clocking in/out and therefor, is not a billed user each month.
Instead of having to give my admin log in to a bookkeeper or to another non-clocking in/out user AND instead of me having to print and send reports to a manager who doesnt clock in/out or to a bookkeeper - allow us to add a "manager" type user who can see info, reports etc. but who we dont have to pay for each month as fi they were clocking in and out.12 votes

Allow custom time frame t notify employer if employee fails to clock in at a certain time (it is preset to 4 hours and cannot be changed). Employers need to know quicker than 4 hours so they can follow up and find suitable replacements.12 votes

Prompt Clocked in users every two hours to verify that they are still performing the same task that they were currently working on.
If the Yes button is hit - no action needed
If the No button is hit, take the clocked in employee to the task selection and ask for the new task being performed from the list11 votes

Rather then pick colors(need to check which are used) to new jobs and employees have an option to auto assign next color so it goes thru all colors and back to oldest used9 votes
Thanks for sharing your idea, Pawel. This would certainly help ensure that colors don’t get duplicated, but I do anticipate it requiring more colors to be added to ClockShark. It’s a great idea, and I look forward to hearing how other users respond to it. Go ahead and vote, folks; and we’ll consider adding this in a future update.
Individual profiles to track employment history for each employ. Track amount of hours, good behavior, amount of edits admins have to make..
Amount of jobs they go over budget on, track bad behavior things (marks on their quality) complaints, personal notes to help evaluate performance or raise potential. Also store legal documents, like scanning their W-9 forms or business agreement forms.
Allow Admins to place an alert on discrepancies that requires them to fix it before clocking in next. (signing off on time sheets at end of week with app reminder would be cool too!)9 votes
Adding more details to an employee’s profile to track their employment history, hiring documents, performance notes, etc. is a very inspired idea. Thanks so much for sharing that. We will keep this idea monitored as people begin to vote for it.
Employees on the website should not have the ability to export their own time to QBs. The button "Export to QuickBooks" should be visible only to admins.8 votes
Thanks for sharing your support for this idea here! As support continues to mount for this idea, our development team will plan how to bring this to you in ClockShark. :)
Have a section for receipts and another section for pictures of the jobs their on7 votes
Hey Travis, thank you for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it.
Just to gather some more feedback, are you wanting the employees to have two separate attachment sections essentially. One just for receipts, and one for the other photos they take?
Or are you wanting them to be able to view photos associated with that job and also have them be able to upload their own photos?
Currently there is one type of note, which is viewable by both admins and by employees. It would be nice to have a second type of note available, ONLY viewable by admins. This would allow admins to make confidential notes for that employee's entry for that day, that may contain sensitive information which that specific employee is not privy to.
(I posted this new idea recently and for some reason it was moved to a comment on a completely different idea that was not at all what I am suggesting here)6 votes
Hey again! That was me that merged your idea with the other idea so I might not be fully understanding this. I know you want the idea of an “admin only” note that they could view on the timesheets.
Would this be attached to the employee’s shift itself, or as a standalone note with no time associated with it. Almost like you could just put an admin only sticky note on the timesheets page. Something like on the 1/31/2020 timesheet for John Smith “John’s car broke down today, he won’t be in till 3 pm.”
Or would you like an admin only note that could be both associated with or without a time segment? Thanks for more information!
