  1. you should be able to add attachments from the schedule screen , not have to go back to the jobs screen every time.

    it make no sense that we would need to go to jobs screen to add attachments without option to add at schedule screen , since jobs are changing and being updated all the time, would be quicker and more efficient to add on the go and when setting up schedule .

    Just to clarify your request, are you asking for a signature line and Admin notes feature on the “Employee Details” report? You can print the employee notes on that report, but I’m not sure if that’s what you’re asking for. Feel free to share any extra details you have so our developers can be confident when considering it.

It would help to identify employees who are incorrectly using Clockshark or Jobs that are incorrectly inputted into the system. Additionally, a report that could track how attendance instead of hours for exempt employees.

    Reporting past events is essential. What future optimism do we have for forecasting? That is, a CSV say with jobs that are scheduled and to what crew.

    This is an excellent idea, Peter. We did recently add a printable version of the schedule calendar, which can provide the information you’re looking for.

    We’ll monitor your idea here to see if a CSV schedule export is something we should add in a future update. Thanks again for your feedback. I love hearing it.

  6. Job Confirmation

    Have employee be able to confirm job once it is sent so that you and the employee know that they are supposed to be there so it will be confirmed and they can never say that they never got the job because they have had to confirm it.

  7. Optional Auto-Clockout at 40 hours

    We dont allow overtime when there's no billable work but we do allow the employees to work around the shop to get up to 40 hours. Employees have already proven to take advantage of this since they're responsible for clocking themselves out on time, they just basically hang around collecting time and a half doing nothing until I tell them to go home. It would make my life far easier if they at least just got a notification that they're at 40 so theres no excuses.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Aric. We are debuting “Overtime Alerts” for administrators very soon that will provide that information to the Admin and they can reach out to the employee to see why they’re still on the clock.

    But we will keep our eyes on this idea and the support it gathers to see if we should build that too.

  8. Break Rules or Formulas

    The option to enter a formula in your preferences that calculates how much of a break is paid/unpaid.

    For Instance, my Labor Laws dictate that I have to pay for a 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked, any break beyond that is unpaid.

    After clocking out, ClockShark could apply the formula and then put a certain amount of hours in a task called "Unpaid Break", the rest of the hours should have the option to remain with the tasks that were selected when the break button was hit, or to be put in a task called “Paid Break”.

    Employees to see labor budget and total tally as hours are used. Maybe notify them of their hours each day.

  10. Allow admins to select workers shift pictures/files to be added to job files with one click

    Say a worker is on site and gets a real time plan or sketch change, they add that to their shift notes for admins and management to review. It'd be nice to just click 1 button to send it to the general job files so everyone sees it. Bonus points if I can do it on mobile.

    Hey Nate, love this idea! Creating an easy way to append the files that come in from the field employees to the job itself would be very helpful.

    Web page that tells whether or not ClockShark's servers are working. This would help users determine whether or not the problem is with the user's network. It also allows for transparency. For example, see these status sites:

  13. Create Public View of Scheduler

    It would be nice to be able to post a public schedule to a website for viewing. There is a tool out there called SmartSheet which allows you to create schedules then post a read-only view of this schedule to web pages or send individuals with the link a read-only copy. This feature allows you to share on your business kiosks. This also allows management to view schedules without logging into ClockShark or using the mobile app.

    Hey, Cory, thanks for sharing this great idea. A large, readable view of the company calendar available at a URL address would be a big help.

    You’re right: currently the best way to view the schedule is by logging into the website or app, but we’ll keep monitoring your idea here so that when it garners tons of support, we’ll know to add that for you. :) Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions or ideas.

    Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll consider adding this. One thing to try is creating a bookmark for the Who’s Working Now screen: then, any time you click it (even after logging in), it will redirect you there.

  15. Bi-Weekly Overtime

    Our employee overtime can be calculated over a 2 week period, i.e. and time over 88 hours in a two week pay period is considered overtime.

    A more robust OT feature would be convenient to have, especially if your company follows a different overtime policy than 40 hours a week. We’ll keep monitoring this for votes, so please share your thoughts below, everyone.

    an overtime by job report would save me lots of time. the overtime should be spread out according to percentage of hours worked on that job over the week.

    Thanks for the suggestion! Out of curiosity, how long do you typically knit the timecard report for?

    Any range over a week will print on more than one page, but we’re considering a single-page, bi-weekly report for a future update, so please stay tuned.

  18. Scope of Work Access/Punch List

    Our employees would appreciate a link to access the scope of work. Currently there is a limit to the length and it is also not user friendly. Even better would be a way to check off the punch list as they complete the tasks.

  19. Update job button Location

    Example: This morning I was in the JOBS screen updating several jobs.
    You have to scroll all the way down to update. Which is a pain when
    you're just changing the spelling. And if you happen to scroll over the map
    it sticks there and you end up enlarging the image.

  20. Allow Expenses to be Added to Jobs

    For example, if I need to purchase materials for a job site, then I'd love to be able to add that to the Job reports. Perhaps add an "Add Receipt" feature that allows you to upload a photo of the receipt and input the dollar amount so it can be added to the job report.

    Hey Brandon, we’ve actually just released the ability for employees to add photos to their time sheet. So they can for example snap a photo of a receipt and add it to their time sheet with a note about the dollar amount. It’s not an expense tracking feature per se, but could certainly be used that way. Let us know what you think!
