  1. Be able to click on the job on the schedule page and pull and edit job details from there

    Active jobs are listed on the 'Schedule' page but its not possible to pull up the job details from there. Currently to do so I have to search through hundred of jobs on the Jobs page. It would just be nice to click on the job in the schedule and pull up the details....

    Clock rounding to the nearest 1/2 hour. The 14 minute rounding does not work with some payroll companies setup.

  4. Additional grouping for jobs

    It would be nice to have another category, to be able to group jobs. Some of our clients have 35 different job sites and it would be nice to be able to put all those jobs under the client name so our employees pick the client, then pick the job site, then pick the task. It would make the jobs screen more manageable for both employers and employees.

  5. Not lose Hours from Past Employees in Totals

    I need for the past work hours on a job to remain in the total hours even if the employee no longer works for my company. I often refer to past jobs in estimating future jobs but if some of the hours are missing because an employee no longer works for me, it makes it difficult to find the cumulative totals on a job with accuracy.

    Hey There, Cynthia! Thanks for the great suggestion. Out of curiosity, have you inactivated or deleted the employees that no longer work for you? If so, you can always run any Job/Task report for “All Employees” and it will show cumulative hours worked for everyone, including the deleted employees. This is because we never delete the employee’s time information, even if the employee is inactive or deleted. :)

  6. Implement mass file attachment exporting

    Could be as simple as "download all attachments" next to the job name in the Time Sheet web view.

    Alternately, being able to select large numbers of attachments to export based on reporting criteria (job, employee, date range etc) would be excellent.

    Thanks for this suggestion, Matthew. Getting all the notes/attachments quickly for specific dates is something we have been considering, so thanks for providing a place where other users can voice their support for the idea.

  7. Holding Deck area in the scheduling area

    This suggestion is for the scheduling area. In the construction business scheduled jobs can often get preempted by things such as: weather conditions when the sun rises, lack of availability on materials 1 hour before the job, equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, employees not showing up for work. All of these and probably many more could cause a quick and immediate “changing of horses in md-stream” to another job that is approved but perhaps not specifically on the schedule. I would like to see a “Holding DECK” where approved jobs can be sitting, waiting for scheduling, that could be viewed by…

  8. Hide administrator passwords from other administrators.

    I was shocked to learn that when I assigned a second administrator to our company account, I was able to login with that new administrator account and reveal my password. Revealing other administrator passwords shouldn’t be an option or should be an option that can be opted out of.

    Thanks for sharing this idea, Jeremy. Yep, you’re right: administrators do have the option to view employee passwords, including other administrators. Masking passwords among administrators is something we hope to address here soon. We’ll keep you posted, but please keep sending those votes in, folks.

  9. Inactive jobs

    When you make a job inactive it should go into an inactive file. That way it doesn't clog up your active jobs. Especially for those of us who have a lot of jobs going at one time

    Thanks for sharing your idea about the active and inactive jobs. We’ll look into cleaning up that jobs screen for you.

    Did you know that you can already filter that screen by active/inactive jobs? Just go to Admin > Jobs, change the page view to 50, and click the “Status” column. This will group your active jobs near the top, and the inactive ones near the bottom.

    Of course, this isn’t a “folder”, but it can help strain out inactive jobs from active ones. We’ll keep monitoring this ticket to see what other support it gathers. Please keep voting, folks.

  10. you should be able to add attachments from the schedule screen , not have to go back to the jobs screen every time.

    it make no sense that we would need to go to jobs screen to add attachments without option to add at schedule screen , since jobs are changing and being updated all the time, would be quicker and more efficient to add on the go and when setting up schedule .

  11. Add a hover feature on the schdule page so that when you hover over a job that is scheduled you can see the notes and details.

  12. Add time to time sheet without in or out times

    The ability for an admin to add time only without a clock-in time or clock-out time. So you could simple add 8 hours for PTO time or holiday pay

Great observation about the hours budget: if you ever need that reset for an individual job, our engineering team would be happy to do that for you, but having the ability to do that from the website directly would be helpful too.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Miranda. Out of curiosity, are requesting that ClockShark’s jobs be mappable to QuickBooks classes? We do have that option, but I just want clarify, in case there is a different feature you have in mind.

  16. Attachments in the Schedule Feature

    Allow the attaching of documents to a scheduled job so that the crew members working can access this information. This would be like work orders, detials and instructions for the worker in the field.

  17. Calender Search on Timesheets

    When viewing the timesheets, instead of having to click through week by week, there should be a calender option where you can select which day you need to view.

  18. Add "Contractors" and a choice when adding new people to the payroll.

    The term "Employees" has a very defined meaning to the government and how a company is required to report earnings and what regulations are involved. Our company uses "Independent Contractors" for field work with the associated 1099-Misc earnings reporting to the IRS. As such we do not have "Employees". It would be great if "Contractors" was a choice when adding new field workers to our company and have the associated fields within ClockShark show that term in the report headings, etc. instead of the term "Employee(s)".

    Thanks for posting your idea to the Voting Forum: we’re excited to receive your feedback! :) Did you know that you can inactivate a job once it’s complete, and then reactivate it later? This will hide the job from employees, but still keep the client info in the system for reference. Feel free to reply if you think that could help, or if you’d like to share any extra details about your idea!
