  1. Allow notifications to be sent to non administrators.

    I have field coordinators that I would like to be able to receive notifications about employee clock in/out/location tamperings, but I cannot do that unless I make them admins. I am not really anxious to do that as I need to maintain some level of control over the jobs and employees.

  2. Add a way to punch in without using Jobs & Tasks.

    Not everyone needs the jobs and tasks options for the bookkeeping side of things. Punching in could be quickened slightly if being forced to choose a job & task could be optionally removed per employee by administrators.

    after adjusting time you should be able to go back to your same place on the list not start from the top each time

  4. Admin general notes in Time Sheet view

    Admin "Notes" box in the times sheet view so you can note why there is no time for that employee for that day when viewing in timesheet view. For Example "Out Sick" "PTO Day" "Late" "Left early without approval" etc.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Marc. What we see many companies do is use the employees note field to record any timesheet amendments, but I really like your idea of having a separate field for an Admin’s edits.

    We’ll watch this idea and the support it collects, and look to add that for you when it has enough steam. If you think of any other great suggestions like the one above, I’d love to hear them @ cliff@clockshark.com.

  5. Option to print notes in the shift assignment when you print schedule

    Printing the notes in the shift assignment on the scheduler when you print out the schedule would give you a more accurate schedule to look at and refer to.

  7. automatic clock out options

    an option to automatically clock employees out after a specific time of day instead of "after 23 hours" (ie. automatically clock John doe out after 8pm). That way they can clock in the next morning if an admin doesn't catch it in time.

  8. Schedule by distance for better fuel mileage

    When scheduling, see suggestion for when my guys will be in that area

    This is a great idea, and really pushes at an automated, intuitive scheduling tool that can make suggestions based on employee locations.

    We’re excited to see how other customers respond to this idea, so please vote, folks. We will want to consider this for a future update.

  9. Set work week as M-F

    It would be helpful to adjust the company settings so that the work week is Monday through Friday. I don't like seeing Saturday and Sunday on the calendar, and when you're setting up a repeating schedule for 3 weeks in a row at a certain job, right now I have to check the box for "weekly", and then select M, T, W, Th, Fri individually because if I just select "daily" then it schedules the weekend as well.

  10. Time Sheet Filter for Multiple Employees in Time Sheet View

    Time sheet filter to view two or more employee's time sheets as opposed to just one one employee's time sheet at a time.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Megan. Out of curiosity, are you alluding to the mobile app, or the website? In the Web Site, you can view employees by department and location groupings. In the app, you can see just one employee’s timesheet at a time.

  11. I would like to see a time sheet that as an administrator, that I could adjust hours per task instead of entering start & stop times.

    I can make the adjustment while entering time for EEs on Quickbooks but the my Clockshark reports don't match our posted times. I would like to make my corrections/adjustments in CS before bringing the times into QB.

    You can always edit the time in ClockShark before exporting it to QBs, but you’re right: there isn’t a way to edit block of time, but just the start and end times.

    We will consider adding this in a future update, but thanks for sharing that idea here so others can vote on it too.

  12. Add the ability to insert a note on a specific day, without having to add time. Such as when an employee takes a vacation day or is sick.

    For example,
    John Smith, did not work. On vacation today.
    or John Smith, did not work. Took personal day.
    Something to have a reference for that particular day.

    Thanks for sharing your support for this idea here! As support continues to mount for this idea, our development team will plan how to bring this to you in ClockShark. :)

    Reading this idea, and all the comments below, I can see that the consensus is that administrators would like a way to designate an Off/Holiday/PTO day, without having to insert any time for an employee. Currently, in ClockShark there is an available workaround that’s equivalent to the feature being requested.

  13. Add a way for employees to text or call in their clock in/out.

    This would allow employees without smartphones to clock in via text or call. There is the CrewClock feature but sometimes employees are by themselves.

  14. Attachment notice (paperclip) Added to the Job Detail Report

    I have attachments added by an employee I would like to have the paper clip on the job detail report so its a red flag that there are attachments . The notes show up but not the paper clip. I realize the photos will not be there but again its a red flag to the billing dept. to pull those and add them to our quickbooks invoice

    Thanks for this great idea, Laurie. You’re the voice of many with this idea, and we will be looking at an innovative way to provide you with the notes/attachments your employee include so that you don’t have to flit back and forth between the reports and the e-timesheets.

  15. Break Rules or Formulas

    The option to enter a formula in your preferences that calculates how much of a break is paid/unpaid.

    For Instance, my Labor Laws dictate that I have to pay for a 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked, any break beyond that is unpaid.

    After clocking out, ClockShark could apply the formula and then put a certain amount of hours in a task called "Unpaid Break", the rest of the hours should have the option to remain with the tasks that were selected when the break button was hit, or to be put in a task called “Paid Break”.

  16. Push Notifications To Employees

    If an employee is pushing 8 hours of labor, a reminder to clock out would be very beneficial and perhaps another reminder every two hours after. If an employee is clocked out for lunch and an hour has passed, send a reminder to clock back in--they may have forgotten and returned back to work. Also, a reminder to clock out for lunch would be very helpful, perhaps after being clocked in 3.5-4 hours.

  17. Edit Entire crews time sheets at once

    We need to be able to edit multiple employee time sheets at once. If I have a crew leader clocking in and out for entire crew, I want to be able to edit the entire crews time at once. If we set up departments, I would like to click on that department and give a clock in and a clock out time for a day and it is distributed to all time sheets for that day in that department.

    Group Chat - So people can chat and talking about jobs and upcoming things...

  19. Requesting certain days to be available for work

    When working for an 1099, several employees work at different places part time. They need a place to request days that they will be available per the other places that they would be working at as well.

  20. List of active jobs by name or number

    I would like to see a simple report where we can have all active jobs that can be sorted by name, number and date. This will give a quick reference to see if any jobs have been missed.

    Marc, thanks for this idea. If you go to Admin > Jobs, you can currently sort your jobs by their active status. Changing the page view to 50 jobs will maximize how many you see at one time too.

    Making this available as a report is a great suggestion. I’m excited to see how other users respond to it.
