  1. Notification for changes made at a later date

    Example if someone entered 4 hours on Oct 21, but then later realized that it's not correct and went back and changed their hours, as an admin I wont have any idea. This creates an issue as I would record hours on Oct 22 which is the very next day and bill it to the specified job. It takes lot of time on our end to keep going back to days to make sure no one has made any changes. A notification to the admin for changes made on a later date would be very useful.

  2. Hours budget

    Employees to see labor budget and total tally as hours are used. Maybe notify them of their hours each day.

  3. Allow minimum hours for showing up and clocking in on site.

    Allow the app to automatically apply a minimum number of hours when clocking in. In many states, if not nationally, we already have to pay a minimum number of hours just for showing up. Being an inspection firm we charge a 4-hour minimum and this is passed to the employee in their pay. If clockshark could automatically apply this rule (with a minimum amount option) it would significantly decrease the time spent on payroll for us.

    This is a great suggestion, Brian. I remember being paid for a minimum of 2 hours in certain states, so your suggestion make perfect, logical sense. Let’s let other folks vote on it so we can understand if this is a widespread need and something we need to build for you.

  4. Allow admins to select workers shift pictures/files to be added to job files with one click

    Say a worker is on site and gets a real time plan or sketch change, they add that to their shift notes for admins and management to review. It'd be nice to just click 1 button to send it to the general job files so everyone sees it. Bonus points if I can do it on mobile.

    Hey Nate, love this idea! Creating an easy way to append the files that come in from the field employees to the job itself would be very helpful.

  5. status.clockshark.com

    Web page that tells whether or not ClockShark's servers are working. This would help users determine whether or not the problem is with the user's network. It also allows for transparency. For example, see these status sites:

    This is a really excellent idea: thanks for sharing those links to give our development team an idea of how you would like that feature to appear.

  7. Create Public View of Scheduler

    It would be nice to be able to post a public schedule to a website for viewing. There is a tool out there called SmartSheet which allows you to create schedules then post a read-only view of this schedule to web pages or send individuals with the link a read-only copy. This feature allows you to share on your business kiosks. This also allows management to view schedules without logging into ClockShark or using the mobile app.

    Hey, Cory, thanks for sharing this great idea. A large, readable view of the company calendar available at a URL address would be a big help.

    You’re right: currently the best way to view the schedule is by logging into the website or app, but we’ll keep monitoring your idea here so that when it garners tons of support, we’ll know to add that for you. :) Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions or ideas.

    Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll consider adding this. One thing to try is creating a bookmark for the Who’s Working Now screen: then, any time you click it (even after logging in), it will redirect you there.

  9. Bi-Weekly Overtime

    Our employee overtime can be calculated over a 2 week period, i.e. and time over 88 hours in a two week pay period is considered overtime.

    A more robust OT feature would be convenient to have, especially if your company follows a different overtime policy than 40 hours a week. We’ll keep monitoring this for votes, so please share your thoughts below, everyone.

  10. overtime hours allocation

    an overtime by job report would save me lots of time. the overtime should be spread out according to percentage of hours worked on that job over the week.

    Thanks for this suggestion, Joe. A report that allows you back track OT to the job on which it was earned would be very helpful. Thanks for positing your suggestion here so others can vote on it, and we can see how people respond to it.

  11. Allow user to email a report from within the portal(or app)

    Current process requires that you download the file, then open your email and attach the file. This would make our bi-weekly timesheet reporting a little faster.

    Thanks for the suggestion! Out of curiosity, how long do you typically knit the timecard report for?

    Any range over a week will print on more than one page, but we’re considering a single-page, bi-weekly report for a future update, so please stay tuned.

  13. Scope of Work Access/Punch List

    Our employees would appreciate a link to access the scope of work. Currently there is a limit to the length and it is also not user friendly. Even better would be a way to check off the punch list as they complete the tasks.

    Thanks for this idea, Steven. We are excited to see how it is received, and the support it gathers. How to handle salary employees in ClockShark is a common question we receive, so thanks for offering a way to navigate that employee status.

  15. multiple time entries with one posting

    The ability to manually add time with mulitple days. So lets say "john" doesn't have the ability to clock in himself, no phone, older and doesn't use a smart phone, etc. Manually, you can clock him in from one dialogue box from 8-4 with a lunch at 12 on:

    Tue x
    Thur x
    Sat x
    without having to post it four different times.
    or to be able to open someones time card and add him to it if they worked the same shift

  16. Allow Job order to be scheduled manually instead of alphabetically

    I'd like to see the jobs scheduled for each employee on any given day to be shown in the actual order that they need to be done rather than just listed alphabetically.
    "Fred" is doing job's "A", "B", and "C" today but he needs to go to "C" 1st, then "A", then finish the day with "B".
    We currently have to let each employee know by phone or email the order in which his jobs need to be done so there a reasonable amount of wasted time here that could be saved.

  17. Show the start and end times of a lunch break on the Employee Detail report

    I would like to see in the employee detail report the start and end time of the lunch break. not just the total break time taken.

  18. TimeSheet Options

    When pritning reports there should be an option next to "All Employees" for "Employees with Time" that way I can prit out time sheets for employees that have accrued time in the selected pay period instead of having to go thru, write down the names, and then go and select only those employees.

  19. Monthly Summary

    Total out monthly items based on assignment. This way you know OT/DT/HOURS. If you allow date ranges then you can be generic across all platforms.
