    Hey Jennifer, thanks for sharing your feedback and ideas. I definitely think this would be super useful!

    Just wanted to follow up on this, and I know it was been awhile so maybe you have already found something similar to this. You can select multiple employees at a time if you select the CTRL button your computer. But there are some kinks with it. If you scroll down while that is pressed, it will zoom out the screen. So you can only really use it when doing the selecting. Or the departments/locations feature is great for selecting groups of employees quickly.

  2. Auto assign different colors to jobs and employees

    Rather then pick colors(need to check which are used) to new jobs and employees have an option to auto assign next color so it goes thru all colors and back to oldest used

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Pawel. This would certainly help ensure that colors don’t get duplicated, but I do anticipate it requiring more colors to be added to ClockShark. It’s a great idea, and I look forward to hearing how other users respond to it. Go ahead and vote, folks; and we’ll consider adding this in a future update.

  3. Employee schedule notes appear in reports

    Ability for admin to see notes added to employee's schedule on report runs. When I run a employee summary report or time schedule report, I want to be able to see the notes I added to their schedule.

    Hi, Tricia. Thanks for sharing this idea on our voting page. Currently, the notes an employee adds to their shift can appear on certain reports, like the Job Details report. Until now, we haven’t considered adding the schedule notes to the same reports, but that’s a great suggestion. Let’s allow folks to vote on this idea, and we’ll consider adding that in a future update.

  5. Limit Who can Export Time

    Employees on the website should not have the ability to export their own time to QBs. The button "Export to QuickBooks" should be visible only to admins.

  6. When adding employees, jobs, or tasks give the option to "SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER" instead of just SAVE and having to ADD

    When entering EMPLOYEES, TASKS, AND JOBS give the option to either "SAVE" OR "SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER". This will Streamline the data entry!

    Hey There! Thanks for this suggestion: the quicker you can add jobs/employees/tasks, the better! Our development team will explore adding this in a future update, but if you have any other suggestions for how to make using ClockShark even FASTER, please just let us know!

  7. Give admins the ability to see an audit trail of a scheduled task.

    Allows for auditing of the schedule times, seeing if jobs are scheduled in a timely manner, if jobs have been rescheduled or when they were initially scheduled. Also nice to have a trail of any deleted jobs/tasks.

    Hey, Kevin! Thanks for posting your idea here on the ClockShark Voting Page: we love to get your feedback so we know what to add into the software for you. Just to clarify, are you requesting a feature that keeps of edits to the schedule? Currently, you can see edits to timesheets in the Audit Log, but it sounds like you are referring more to tracking schedule changes.

  8. Add a breakout for Department Hours when Creating a Job Detail report.

    When Creating a Job Detail report, I would love to see a breakout by department. Currently the report is broken out by Dates & Notes, Employee, and Task. Just need that one more category so you can see how many hours were required per department for each job!

    Hey There! :) Thanks for sharing your idea on the Voting Page! ClockShark does allow you to choose your departments when running those reports, but it will individually list those hours per employee. Being able to see the hours by department is a great idea.     Thanks for sharing your idea here on the Voting Page! Currently, that permission is one of the remaining permissions that distinguish an Admin from a Manager. Thanks for sharing how helpful it would be to be able to clone that permission for other non-admins.

  10. Have an option for ClockShark invoices to be in Canadian dollars

    Currently, all of our invoices from ClockShark are in American dollars. This creates an extra workload for those of us using the service from Canada, as (at least for us) administration needs check our credit card statement every time we receive an invoice, and create our own ClockShark invoice in Canadian $ to send to our accountant for write-off purposes. I feel like it would not be terribly difficult to implement this, and would likely save a lot of time and headache for your Canadian clients.

You make a great observation: all the invoices do currently arrive just in USD, but we will look into implementing this in other currencies in a future update. Let’s let folks vote on it here, but thank you for voicing the need for this feature. If you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

    Reporting past events is essential. What future optimism do we have for forecasting? That is, a CSV say with jobs that are scheduled and to what crew.

    This is an excellent idea, Peter. We did recently add a printable version of the schedule calendar, which can provide the information you’re looking for.

    We’ll monitor your idea here to see if a CSV schedule export is something we should add in a future update. Thanks again for your feedback. I love hearing it.

  12. Upcoming job alerts

    i want to be able to put out a note to everyone for jobs that are coming up in the future as a group,this is just an idea, maybe clockshark can come up with something in that nature, to give us owners the ability to throw extra work to all those that want it. Like a job board with the ability to check a box saying yes or no to taking the job.

    Great idea! It sounds like there are two ways to accomplish this feature. One would be having a group board that everyone could see, or you could have a “unassigned” section of the scheduler that people could use to pick up more work. Which do you think would be a better fit?

    Put a marker on the timesheet week view that shows at which point employees reached overtime. like they do on tv during football games to show the first yard line.

  14. Have the ability to make the geo-fencing circles a smaller diameter,

    In the lawn mowing business we may serve multiple customers in a small radius so our employees get numerous messages to log in. Some times they may be driving down a street past another project and they get request to log in to that job.

  15. Add option for employee/ admin to select whether a job is commercial or residential when clocking in

    This allows admin to decipher what is Commercial and Residential when running monthly reports for Workers Comp purposes. QuickBooks online gives us this option, but when exporting from ClockShark, we have to manually insert/add to timesheet description for each employee and job whether a job is commercial or residential.

    Just wanted to get a little more information on this idea. Are you just wanting the hours worked based in a shorter time frame like a week?

    Or are you wanting a report that shows you the percentage of labor accrued to each job?

    Any feedback you have would be awesome!

  18. Include an option for online booking

    Include a link or widget to allow customers to book jobs online. I run a cleaning business and allowing customers to book for themselves would save me work.

    Invoicing and billing customers (and as you suggested, booking customers) would be awesome features to add, Kathleen. Thanks for the powerful vision of how you see ClockShark working. We’ll keep you updated as we add new features to the product.

  19. Optional Auto-Clockout at 40 hours

    We dont allow overtime when there's no billable work but we do allow the employees to work around the shop to get up to 40 hours. Employees have already proven to take advantage of this since they're responsible for clocking themselves out on time, they just basically hang around collecting time and a half doing nothing until I tell them to go home. It would make my life far easier if they at least just got a notification that they're at 40 so theres no excuses.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Aric. We are debuting “Overtime Alerts” for administrators very soon that will provide that information to the Admin and they can reach out to the employee to see why they’re still on the clock.

    But we will keep our eyes on this idea and the support it gathers to see if we should build that too.

  20. Please add the ability to view a larger than a thumbnail photo on the "Who's working now" page.

    We keep the "Who's working now" page open all day and we love how real time notifications. The one thing that is lacking right now is the ability to view (more than a thumbnail size) photos on this page. We know that we can view the photos on the time sheets. But the time sheets don't give us the instant notifications that is available on the "Who's working now" page.
