Would really, really , really love to have a feature that I could enable in employee settings that would allow me to make adding notes into a time card mandatory on a per employee basis. Then I could hopefully stop reminding and reminding and clock shark would remind / require it prior to clocking out.164 votes
Hi, David! Thanks for posting your idea to the Voting Forum. Let’s let folks share their support for it, and then we can consider it for a future update. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions!
For example, crew starts at 6:30 am, but the manager doesn't start clocking in the group until 6:34 am. Currently, with CrewClock you clock in the crew and it registers at the current time of when you clock in the crew. It would be helpful for managers if on the mobile CrewClock the manager could select the specific time to clock the group in to eliminate the need of having to go back in at the end of day to correct each timesheet.6 votes
Allow for client and staff to sign time at clockout, with prompt to have each sign, and push email/text notifications that this was completed.15 votes
Thanks for sharing your idea, Shelly. Making ClockShark something that clients interact with too is definitely something we will want to explore, especially as your idea garners more votes.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions: I love to hear them.
Only the employee know what they have done that day. I believe that if they had to sign off on their time sheet saying it was correct, alot of things would be corrected by them not office staff.77 votes
Hi! We’ve recently added a signature line to the TIme Sheets report so if you print that report you will be able to have employees sign the printed time sheet. We realize that having an in-app approval process would be more ideal, so its something we are considering adding on an upcoming release. Thanks for the suggestions!
Do not allow an employee to clock in until they are in the GPS fencing area. This way there is no mistakingly clocking in on the way to work .47 votes
Thanks for the idea, Bruno. We’ll definitely consider this. Up until now, preventing an employee from clocking in because of their location is a little squirrelly for both parties. So we have a created a conservative in-between.
Currently, you can set up Out of Bounds alerts in ClockShark that will alert you if an employee is clocking in/out from outside the GPS Fence. Let me share an article on how to set that up: http://help.clockshark.com/knowledgebase/articles/1135408-using-gps-fence-geofencing
Out of Bounds alerts will make you aware anytime an employee clocks time when they’re not on the jobsite. We’ll keep our eyes on this idea’s feedback to see if that setting needs to be more restrictive. Keep on voting, folks.
My staff do multiple jobs in a day so after clocking out of the current job a prompt asking if they are travelling to the next job that would accumulate towards their total time for the day to make it easier for payroll to see total hours worked.5 votes
Hey there, Paul. Thanks for sharing your support for this idea here! As support continues to mount for this suggestion, our development team will plan how to bring this to you in ClockShark. :)
Be able to set clock in time at set time (ex: work start @ 6:00 am) even when employee clock in at 5:30. time tracking will start @ 06:00am

This is a really unique and novel suggestion, which really excites us! Can you please explain the benefit such a feature would have for you? Why would you like it?
We love to hear how we can make ClockShark better for you. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback and to vote.
Since I am not out on the jobsite, I don't know what task they are actually doing. Currently, I have given our employees the ability to change their own timecard. However, I would like to limit their ability to make changes to the job specific information (job name, task, description) and not the clock-in and clock-out times. Leaving them the ability to change their hours can create additional problems.5 votesMorgan Cassady responded
Thanks for sharing your idea here on ClockShark’s voting page! As more folks vote on this suggestion, we’ll consider adding it in a future update!
We would like to split our day spent at multiple job sites easier to enter. Once we enter a time in for that day, it should default to the last time entered rather than going back to 8:00am again.6 votes
Thanks for sharing this idea on our voting page. When it comes to manual time entry, we do want that to be as swift as possible, so having the app intuitively remember when the last time entry ended would be extremely helpful.
Let’s allow other users to vote on this idea, and we will consider adding this in a future update. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, feel free to share those here, or with me at email@example.com. Thanks, Jessica.
Only allow employees to be able to clock in at certain times set by the employer17 votes
Thank you for sharing your idea, and allowing folks to have a forum to support and vote for it. We prioritize all suggestions with the most traction and support.

Add a pause button for, say, when someone has a quick personal errand to run, gets a personal phone call, or something like that. On the mobile device, there's room right below the start lunch and switch buttons. (I hate paying for employees' personal time during work hours!)16 votes
Fred, that’s a great observation! Using the lunch button (or even clocking out) allows you to clearly see when the employee stopped and started work. That’s an excellent, equivalent workaround one can use while we consider adding this in a future update.
